We are very much into these wonderful machines, we own three of them! These pics were taken on our honeymoon in  June, 2005, at the European HOG rally in Port Grimaud, near St. Tropez. We rode down there in the company of many friends who also provided an escort to and from our wedding, we were in a 1929 open topped Rolls Royce surrounded by Harleys, it was a fantastic experience! The ride through France took us via Millau, to see the worlds highest bridge, over 1000ft up , almost in the clouds, then thru Lyon, where we got lost totally, finally to Port Grimaud and the rally, which we enjoyed immensely. Harriet, our much loved Heritage softail, ran faultlessly, save for a rear brake light which wouldn't go off, and we can't wait for this years European rally, to be held in beautiful Killarney, in southern Ireland, in mid June.

Prior to this we are off to the seasons opener for us, which is the Bridgwater chapters Cider rally at Weston super mare, in south west england, a brilliant rally which we really enjoyed last year; Wills tells me I was dancing on the tables, perhaps its as well that I don't remember!!

We are both HOG Life members, we love the whole HOG lifestyle, the cameraderie, the lifelong friendships we make visiting other countrys, the welcome we have received when travelling alone to Scotland, Ireland, and mainland Europe, there  is nothing to equal the sharing of our passion for Harleys, meeting and spending time with like minded people of all nationalities, and trying to keep up with the germans at the bar!!!

 This pic was taken on the run up to the flag parade around St Tropez, we had just been interviewed by a French TV crew, who spotted our " just married" banners, which were actually given to us by Marj, the HOG uk and ireland manager. The parade was spectacular, albeit quite scary at times, with more than 12,000 bikes which stretched over 7km, jostling for space in the narrow streets thru the villages! As you can see, we believe in wearing sensible clothing while riding!! Sometimes even  a helmet!!!

 This is our favourite Harley Davidson, our september 2004 Heritage softail classic, "Harriet". She (all bikes are she!) has a full screaming eagle stage four engine, 1550cc, heads, cams, ignition, exhaust, all sorts of internal bits and pieces, has almost 100 bhp with massive torque, and is a perfect set up to pull both of us and and lots of luggage around Europe, without running out of steam! We have added half the contents of the parts catalogue, chrome section, as well as various other essentials such as the road king style headlamp nacelle, and over 200 chrome studs, all the way from Oregon,USA!! Lots of the leather work we have done ourselves, and as always there is still more to do! 

And yes, we are Welsh! We both come from the beautiful west Wales village of St.Clears, near Tenby, and the West Wales national coastal park, which is listed as an area of outstanding natural beauty. We now live north of Doncaster in a small village, its home, but our hearts will always be in Wales.
